Ford Motor Company's Volvo Cars division is poised to introduce a brand new concept model at the upcoming 2007 International Motor Show (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, IAA) in Frankfurt. The Swedish automaker will present the ReCharge Concept, a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Ford's Japanese subsidiary Mazda Motor Corporation, producer of OEM Mazda parts, has recently announced the enhancements they have made on the sporty and stylish Mazda Premacy range in Japan. The restyled models for Mazda's performance compact minivan are now available nationwide at all Mazda, Mazda Anfini, and Mazda Autozam dealers. Overseas the Premacy is also known as the Mazda5 and the target sales volume per month is 1,800 units. The enhancements done on the Premacy include the further improved "Communicative and Dynamic" product concept which is an electronically controlled five speed automatic transmission mounted in an all-front-wheel-drive (FWD) grades and the adoption of sequential valve timing (S-VT) has been made available to other model grades. These changes have resulted in more power as well as improved fuel efficiency plus top class emissions. Mazda has also upgraded the suspension to provide a more stable and more comfortable ride. There are also new body parts such as the bold front end which provides the Premacy range with a sporty and stylish look. Inside the Premacy is a redesigned instrument panel as well as a modified layout that further enhances its refined image. There are also seven new body colors that are offered for the Premacy including the Golden Sand Metallic which brought the total available vivid tints to eleven. The manufacturers suggested retail price for the Premacy range between 1,768,000 to 2,355,000 yen including consumption tax. • AUX terminal for external devices In terms of environmental performance, the fuel economy of the Premacy is improved with the adoption of the S-VT together with the electronically controlled five speed automatic transmission. All of the FWD models with the 2.0 liter MZR engine meet Japan's 2010 fuel economy standards plus 10 percent which makes them eligible for Japan's Green Tax exemptions. The FWD and four-wheel-drive (4WD) model grades also qualify as SU-LEV or Super-Ultra-Low Emission Vehicles with exhaust emissions that are 75 percent lower than the Japanese government's 2005 exhaust emissions regulations.
